25 caps for the Spanish international team
His clean living and daring clearances brought him international recognition. In legendary defense with Ciriaco and Zamora, he was a member. It is still remembered as one of the greatest defenses in history, a demonstration of power and ability. The Basque player’s stability netted them two La Liga championships and two Spanish Cup victories.
The first place he booted the ball was in San Antonio, his hometown. Following an unsuccessful first effort to join with Alavés, the Vitoria team eventually signed their man in 1925. He grew astronomically next to his irreplaceable Ciriaco. Real Madrid decided to sign them both as a result of this.
Success happened right away. The team won the La Liga title and was undefeated in the inaugural season. The Civil War’s start was the only thing that stopped Quincoces and that Real Madrid club from reaching their potential. The war caused the team to disintegrate, and even though the Basque defender kept playing, he made the decision to retire in 1942. The Spanish national team was also totally committed to providing the defensive protection that Real Madrid had demonstrated. The Barakaldo native played in the 1934 World Cup in Italy, where the Spanish defense was hailed as “the best in the world.” He got 25 caps. expired on May 10, 1997.
